The test is free but the license cost 35 dollars and is valid for 10 years (www.leurelvec.org). We have a testing team in Metro Manila. 

We have sponsors to pay for the first 10 scouts who pass the license exam.

Requirements are:

1. Have a valid government ID (this is easy as every has that)

2. Have an address Able to receive mail in the USA (this is easy as most people have relatives or friends in the USA or they can simply use my address and I can forward you your mail.)

3. Pass the written exam (35 questions for technician (equivalent to class c), 35 questions for general (equivalent to class b), 50 questions for extra (equivalent to class a)

It’s 100% free for the first 10 scouts

We give free radios to newly licenced scouts who pass the amateur radio exam and we are proud to welcome you to the hobby.

At World Scout Jamboree in South Korea and met with Jochen from Radio Scouting in Germany. 

The radio station setup was impressive featuring Code, HF on multiple frequencies, VHF/UHF, and different modes of operation like FT8. 

The station was on air from 1 August to 6 August until evacuation.

HB1 PfJAM is a scout special call sign, which was held on 27.07. on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the international scout center Kandersteg. - 07.08.2023 was issued and operated on short wave, in DMR and Echolink. Due to the location of Kandersteg in a high mountain valley, an operation over QO-100 is unfortunately not possible and also the spread on short wave is greatly restricted for DX.
The station will prefer to work on World Scout frequencies and we hope to reach many Scout camps that will take place this summer. The station is operated by a small international team (HB9EVT, PE1MEW and Herma and DF9IB) during the camp "Kander 100". In addition to demonstrating the amateur radio operation, activities will be offered that enable the participating scouts from over 50 countries to experience Radio Scouting.
The special call sign also allows the Scouts to speak at the microphone.
